About me
Simon Strick is an independent media/cultural studies scholar and writer. He has published widely on a variety of subjects relating to critical race theory, gender, performativity, affect and questions of the popular. In 2021, he published Rechte Gefühle (transcript), a widely cited and pioneering study on the affective lifeworlds of digital neofascism. His many essays on the topic have appeared in academic journals, newspapers and platforms such as Diasporist. His forthcoming book Faschisierung: Fluchtlinie des Digitalen charts the inevitability of current fascist climates in the digital condition. Together with Susann Neuenfeldt and Werner Türk, he founded the theater and performance group Panzerkreuzer Rotkäppchen, which has been working on East German discontents and dreamworlds since 2009.
